Stadion Dalymount Park bersiap menggelar derbi Dublin terakhir antara Bohemians melawan Shamrock Rovers dalam lanjutan Divisi Utama Liga Irlandia pada Senin malam, 25 Mei 2026 pukul 20.00 waktu setempat. Pertandingan ini menjadi momen bersejarah karena stadion ikonik tersebut akan dihancurkan dan dibangun kembali pada musim depan.
Kondisi kontras menyelimuti kedua tim menjelang laga krusial ini. Tuan rumah Bohemians saat ini menempati peringkat ketiga klasemen sementara setelah mengemas tiga kemenangan beruntun, termasuk hasil positif 4-2 atas Galway United pada Jumat lalu. Sebaliknya, sang pemuncak klasemen Shamrock Rovers justru sedang dalam tren negatif seusai menelan dua kekalahan berturut-turut dari Dundalk dan Sligo Rovers.
Krisis pemain juga sedang melanda kubu tim tamu akibat cedera dan panggilan tim nasional. Kiper utama Ed McGinty serta gelandang Adam Brennan harus absen karena membela timnas Irlandia, sehingga penjaga gawang berusia 17 tahun, Alex Noonan, bersiap melakoni debutnya di liga. Di sisi lain, Bohemians masih bisa memainkan Dawson Devoy dalam derbi ini sebelum sang gelandang bergabung dengan skuad Irlandia di akhir pekan untuk menghadapi Kanada.
Manajer Bohemians, Alan Reynolds, menyatakan bahwa anak asuhnya sangat memahami arti penting pertandingan derbi ini bagi seluruh elemen klub.
"The players are fully aware of what these occasions mean to everyone at the club." ujar Alan Reynolds, Manajer Bohemians.
Reynolds menginstruksikan skuadnya untuk memanfaatkan dukungan penuh dari suporter di tribune guna memetik hasil maksimal saat menghadapi tim tangguh seperti Rovers.
"We have to channel that expectation and the energy we will get from the stands into delivering the high level of performance that is required to beat a team as good as Rovers." kata Alan Reynolds, Manajer Bohemians.
Fokus utama Bohemians saat ini adalah menyajikan performa yang tepat di atas lapangan hijau demi mengamankan poin penuh.
"That has to be our sole focus - getting the performance right on the pitch to get the result right." tutur Alan Reynolds, Manajer Bohemians.
Rentetan hasil positif dalam beberapa pekan terakhir dinilai Reynolds diraih dari tim-tim yang secara historis sulit mereka taklukkan.
"We have done that in recent weeks, getting three good wins against teams we have found it difficult to get results against in the past, so now we need to build on that further against a team who’ve set the standards in recent seasons." sebut Alan Reynolds, Manajer Bohemians.
Kembalinya Dayle Rooney dan Dougie dari cedera juga diakui Reynolds membawa dampak besar bagi ketajaman lini serang Bohemians belakangan ini.
"Having the likes of Dayle Rooney and Dougie available again over the past number of weeks has made a huge contribution to (Bohs’ recent goalscoring form). We missed them for the period they were out injured and they’ve made a big impact over the past number of weeks." ungkap Alan Reynolds, Manajer Bohemians.
Sementara itu, Manajer Shamrock Rovers, Stephen Bradley, melihat jadwal padat minggu ini sebagai momentum terbaik bagi anak asuhnya untuk segera bangkit dari keterpurukan.
"It’s a really good week to come into. When you lose games, you just want to go again. We’re coming into two Dublin derbies this week, two really important games. This group as I’ve said before, have tremendous character and have shown that for a number of years. That’s why they are what they are. We will want to go and have a game to put that right. Monday and Friday gives us those opportunities." jelas Stephen Bradley, Manajer Shamrock Rovers.
Bradley mengakui adanya kekecewaan akibat dua kekalahan beruntun, namun ia menganggap performa naik-turun ini wajar lantaran masa pramusim tim yang sangat singkat.
"We're disappointed with the last two results. But when you take everything out of it and think we had such a short pre-season, 13 training days, there was always going to be ups and downs because of that, especially early on." aku Stephen Bradley, Manajer Shamrock Rovers.
Kendati demikian, Bradley menegaskan dirinya tetap puas dengan posisi Shamrock Rovers saat kompetisi kini sudah berjalan setengah musim.
"But if you said at the halfway point, we’d be where we are, you would be happy. We know it’s been OK, but we know there’s a lot more to come so I think it’s important we understand that." pungkas Stephen Bradley, Manajer Shamrock Rovers.
